The main technical specifications to mention from Europe of Diasporas website are the following
A Europe of Diasporas was born as part of a European project to promote the various diasporas throughout Europe. Currently they are supported by various diaspora entities, mainly the Armenian, Jewish, Romany and Assyrian. Since its a European and international project it was done only in English.
From the project A Europe of Diasporas, we must mention the development of two interrelated projects:
- The development of a website that would clearly define one area destined to social network and the other area destined to the information of the European project.
- The creation of a mobile app ios system and also a mobile app for Android. The main function of both mobile apps is to be able to access all the content published in the website and also to allow users to upload new content to the web page through the app.
|Language||The web site, the mobile app on ios, and the mobile app on Android are developed in English.|
|Social network||The website has been created as a public social network. This way, users can register in the social network and share content on the different diasporas. Users can share relevant historical figures, places, buildings, events, news, etc.|
|Moblie App||The apps allow users to access the content of the site and it also allows them to upload new content to the site through the mobile applications on Itunes and Google Play.|
|Custom design||The design of the website is completely personalized. It has been entirely made under the aesthetic specifications provided by the client, without the use of any graphic template.|
|Responsive web design||An adaptive or responsive web design has been developed, allowing the website to be displayed correctly on mobile devices as well as on tablets, laptops or desktops, and on large screens.|
|Software||Open source Drupal 7 software was used. Besides being an open source software, Drupal software is supported by a large community of developers. This enabled the website to grow in the future if needed.|
