About us

Luthiers De Webs is formed by a group of people with training and interests on different, appearently unrelated subjects:

• Programming
• Information Science
• Psychology and Psychotherapy

How is all this related? We want our work on web site design to be nourished by all these influences.

Programming

We work using open-source systems for content management. We are interested in the new ways in which the internet is bringing people into relationship: community sites, social networks, and all kinds of access to information that recent technology is opening. We are interested in open source projects: Linux, Python, Plone, Django.

Information Science

Information on the internet is worthless if it is not addressed to users: how to find it, how to organize contents so that the reader is able to understand what is going on and can keep her or his interest on what you're offering. In our work, design and good organization of contents are crucial.

Psychology and Psychotherapy

We want to make web sites for people, with a special sensibility towards readers' needs, their way-to-do, their possibilities of contacting and sharing. We have a direct knowledge of the professional work of psychologists and psychotherapists (some of us are!) and we are particularly developing web projects on this field, though not only.
